Hello and welcome!
This is the Blog of Oscar Howell.
I write about technology and politics, the social impact of technology and innovation. I am interested in the role that new tools of communication can have in a democratic system, and the engagement of activists using new media. I call this the model of “feedback democracy”. Currently writing a thesis (Harvard) about this. I also write about the publishing industry and eBooks.
I live between Madrid, Boston and Mexico City. I am the CTO of a large Spanish publisher. I write in English and Spanish, so this site may contain posts in both languages. Other projects include a community knowledge project (Brechas.org), a publisher of eBooks (HGM Books) and some work @ MIT as Mentor for the Legatum Center for Entrepreneurship and Development.

Where can I find out about #apagontelevisa? Specifically, what are the complaints/demands?
I’ve looked at various posts on the topic, and I see things about the history, method, and importance of the protest, but I can’t find just what it is they are protesting. I would appreciate if you could point me to a more informative site. I realize it will probably be in Spanish.
I’m a gringa in California and I use Spanish language TV to improve my Spanish, so I try to stay aware of Mexican news and trends. Estoy consciente de que Televisa tiene un montón de problemas; quiro saber cuales problemas pertenacen a éste asunto, apagontelevisa. Thank you for any help.
